Being a freshman is no easy job. In x-country it's just a rite of passage, washing dishes on the cascade retreats, cleaning the bus, giving up seats for the seniors, and more. But doing this makes High School even more of an experience as the years progress. I was chosen by the seniors to carry on a tradition in x-country at our cascade retreat. You have to sing "Build Me up Buttercup" for the talent show, all four years in high school then you pass it on to another freshman. Being in high school is an amazing part of my life and I will enjoy every moment.
SLC Reflection
I felt well prepared for my first SLC because I knew what I was going to say and I had issues to solve. The biggest problem before my SLC was the organizational system I was using. I had a green zip up bag that held all my school supplies, home work, and planner. The problem was I didn’t have any folders to hold to hold all my papers so every time I unzipped my bag everything would fall out and sprawl. So after a good discussion with my parents we fixed the problem by getting me a leather binder with folders for each class. And it works great.
