POW Exemplar Starter: Discuss the following prompts for the exemplar and write a one sentence summary of your discussion as evidence.

In what ways does this person have a clear problem statement? How could it be improved?
In what ways does the process make it clear to understand, and to what extent could it be replicated by someone that is not familiar with the problem?
In what ways is the conclusion honest, and shows a clear understanding of the solution and how to get there?

Objective:

Find a solution for the POW.

Starter: Wrestle with the Problem (5 min, no talking)

Write down 4 important factors on the back of your sheet
Write down 3 ideas or questions about the problem

Description: Three Janitors work in the same building, however they all arrive at work at different times. The first Janitor arrives at the building and cleans half of the building in 2 hours. The second Janitor arrives and helps the first Janitor clean and they both work together. In 30 minutes they clean up to 75% of the building before the third Janitor arrives. Once the third Janitor arrives all three of them finish cleaning the building in 10 minutes.

Question: How long would it take for each Janitor to clean the building by themselves? (Note each Janitor cleans at a different rate)
